What kind of training does a prosthodontist get?

Prosthodontists must first obtain either a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD). General dentists may stop here and go into practice, but prosthodontists need at least three years of extended training in several restorative dentistry areas.
